Two days in Canberra

After travelling down to Canberra late on Wednesday night we arrived in Canberra to stay at the Pavilion Hotel. It is a nice hotel with plenty of space in our room. All the rooms open up into the centre of the hotel and it has gardens inside. There is a bar located within the hotel and you are able to sit within the gardens inside.

The hotel is located on the main road into canberra and is located near a lightrail station that takes you into the cbd. There are also electric scooters that can be hired using an app that allow you to ride at 15 km/h on footpaths within Canberra that provide a quick and easy method of transport.

For breakfast we went to Clay. that is located just a 3 minute walk away from the hotel. It is a small cafe with limited food option but they do a good coffee. There are mostly just seats located out side in the courtyard surrounding the cafe. This means that it is much better suited to days with good weather.

We also visited the National Gallery and National Museum while in Canberra. Both are free to enter but may have costs for some of the exhibits within. The majority of the parking requires paying and is around $3 per hour. On weekends there is more free parking available.
